Makamba champions clean cooking for food vendors

DAR ES SALAAM: DEPUTY Minister for Energy Salome Makamba has launched a clean cooking initiative for food vendor Afua Juma, as the government steps up efforts to encourage food businesses across the country to shift to cleaner energy solutions.

The initiative seeks to promote the adoption of clean cooking technologies among food vendors, with the aim of creating safer and healthier working environments, improving business efficiency and accelerating Tanzania’s transition to cleaner energy.

Makamba urged more food vendors to embrace clean cooking solutions, saying the shift would help improve livelihoods while reducing environmental pressure and promoting the sustainable use of energy resources.
