“Taifa Stars and Twiga Stars made history by qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) for the first time. Despite Taifa Stars’ inability to progress past the group stage at AFCON, their participation was a milestone. I commend the players, technical bench and everyone who contributed to the team’s success.
