Mainland Premier League resumes as Kagera Sugar welcome Young Africans

KAGERA: After nearly a one-month break, the Mainland Premier League is set to resume.

Today, all eyes will be on Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera as Kagera Sugar hosts reigning champions Young Africans.

A victory for Miguel Gamondi’s side would propel them to the top of the table with 33 points, surpassing Azam, who currently leads with 31 points.

Currently, the two teams are separated by a 17-point gap, with Young Africans holding 30 points from eleven matches and Kagera Sugar with 13 points from thirteen games.

Furthermore, this match marks the debut of Kagera Sugar’s newly appointed coach, Felix Minziro, who has been entrusted with leading the team to success.

On Saturday, the action will continue as debutants Mashujaa welcome Simba at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.
