L’Oréal: French firm in Dar to beautify Tanzanian ladies

DAR ES SALAAM: FRENCH firm L’Oréal has partnered with Tanzanians in business ventures aimed at empowering women economically, reducing poverty, and strengthening collaboration between Tanzania and the French firm.

The venture also aims to promote economic development for both sides

Speaking in Dar es Salaam during the launch of the new Garnier product line, Victoria Karanja, Managing Director of L’Oréal’s East Africa Products Division, said the company decided to introduce the product in Tanzania to help women produce the products themselves and thus generate their income.

Victoria further explained that the launch of this product will contribute to creating more job opportunities for many Tanzanians and provide education on the use of the products, which will, in turn, help boost the country’s economy.

Meanwhile, Natalie Njenga, Brand and Business Manager at L’Oréal, noted that they discovered a significant gap in the beauty sector in Tanzania, particularly in opportunities for empowering women economically. This was the main motivation behind bringing the product to the country.

On their part, the brand ambassadors for Garnier, Ritha Johans and Hamis Mandi, stated that the introduction of these products will help many young people secure employment, thereby driving the country’s economic growth.
