Speaking in Dar es Salaam today, April 16, 2026, Tenda Yangu Training Coordinator Mr Fredy Marwa revealed that they are targeting to directly train at least 10 to 50 participants in two sessions per region.

“We expect a broader indirect reach of over 1,000 individuals through digital platforms, partnerships, and post-training engagement…our approach focuses on equality engagement while scaling impact across all regions,” he said.

According to him, the training has been designed for youth and graduates seeking employment and self-reliance as well as entrepreneurs aiming to access government and private tenders.

Others targeted are company directors, business owners, procurement and logistics professionals, not forgetting persons interested in building careers in tendering and supply chain.

“Our goal is to create a diverse pool of participants who can immediately apply tendering knowledge in real business environments.

“It is the first time we are engaging in this large-scale tour, which shows our structured outreach initiatives aimed at expanding access to tendering knowledge across multiple places.

“Through this mission, we aim to build practical tendering skills among participants, increase awareness of available tender opportunities in Tanzania, plus equipping attendees with hands-on experience in bid preparation,” Mr Marwa said.

He added: “We further want to promote the use of digital tender platforms, support participants in transitioning from knowledge to actual tender participation and winning bids.”

Commenting on immediate impacts they want to achieve after the tour, he said they want to see trainees starting to apply for tenders confidently, improved quality of submitted bids from local businesses and a shift in mindset from job seeking to opportunity creation.

“In today’s competitive economy, tendering is not just a skill, it is a strategic business advantage enabling beneficiaries to access large and reliable markets in government, Non-governmental Organisations and corporates,” he said.
