Logistic firm brings 25 Chinese companies to Sabasaba fair

DM Mall and MMG Logistics have persuaded 25 Chinese factories to participate in the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair that kicked off last Friday.

DAR ES SALAAM: DM Mall and MMG Logistics have persuaded 25 Chinese factories to participate in the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair that kicked off last Friday.

DM Mall and MMG Logistics Director, Hamid Idrissa Hamid told ‘Daily News’ on Sunday that the Chinese firms will showcase their products while looking to network with locals in different business endeavours.

“The goal is to enable locals to establish links with these firms and get firsthand information on the price of their various items and make joint ventures in Dar es Salaam , not Beijing…if possible, to establish joint factories,” he said.

The factories are makers of clothes, home appliances, telephones, solar equipment, shoes, machines, drinks, generators, cars, food, beauty products and others.

DM Mall and MMG Logistics Marketing Manager Haruna Said said that they brought the firms to address the challenges faced by many startups where travelling to China is an uphill task.

The DM Mall and MMG Logistics have been in business for the last five years and employed some 35 locals.

One of the exhibitors, XY Cargo Feler Logistics Company, said they have chosen to participate at Sabasaba because the country is a safe place to do business.
