DODOMA: KONDOA Town Council Director Mr Said Majaliwa has called on Ward and Street Executives to ensure they effectively serve citizens in their respective areas instead of directing them to take their complaints to the council offices.
Mr Majaliwa made the remarks recently while closing a one-day training session organised by the Community Development Department on loan management for Ward Loan Committees.
The training focused on the supervision and issuance of loans to women, youth and people with disabilities. He said the executives have a duty to listen to and address public concerns within their capacity.

“A resident should only come to the council office for issues beyond your capability, so I can assist. Do not send them here unnecessarily,” Mr Majaliwa stressed.
He further noted that the objective of the training was to remind local leaders on loan issuance guidelines and build their capacity to educate groups within their respective wards.
Additionally, he urged them to remain dedicated to serving the public by addressing raised concerns, regardless of the complainant’s eligibility, noting that every citizen deserves to be heard and provided with clear responses.
