‘Let’s be job creators, not seekers’

MOROGORO: CCM Secretary General, Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi has urged university students and alumni across the country to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation to remain competitive in the rapidly evolving global job market driven by the digital revolution.

Speaking during the 24th Convocation Annual General Meeting of Mzumbe University in Morogoro on Saturday, Dr Nchimbi said the global digital revolution, fuelled by emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) demands that students become job creators and not just job seekers. “You are now duty bound to create the future you aspire,” Dr Nchimbi said.

He encouraged students to transform challenges into innovative, commercially viable products, which would contribute to both national and global development.

Dr Nchimbi further pointed out that the rising unemployment rates, both in Tanzania and around the globe, call for a shift from traditional job-seeking to a modern approach that embraces creativity and innovation as the way to unlocking new opportunities.

He insisted that success in any field, including innovative business ventures, requires collaboration among graduates to leverage their collective knowledge.

Dr Nchimbi said there is a need for working together to develop sustainable solutions to challenges like climate change while cultivating a global perspective.
