League’s fourth round lights up two venues

AFTER  a brief pause, the fourth round of the Premier League action is back with four teams on the battlefield in two hosting venues across the country today.

At CCM Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga, debutants JKT Tanzania welcome Kagera Sugar in one of the tough league fixtures with each side eager to stamp success.

It is the first time JKT Tanzania will use the Shinyanga venue as home ground.

The development was well received by Shinyanga residents who will now be enjoying premier league fixtures unfolding live in their region courtesy of JKT Tanzania.

As such, they are keen to launch the home mission on the gas pedal by claiming maximum points from the Kagera-based outfits who won 1-0 in their previous game against Geita Gold.

For JKT Tanzania who suffered a 2-1 loss to KMC at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam, it is a good chance to register their second win of the season.

The other tense match today sees Coastal Union entertaining newcomers Tabora United at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.

After playing their three opening matches of the season away from home without a win, Coastal Union are back on their turf for the first time in the progressing campaign.

They lost 3-0 to Simba in their last game at Uhuru Stadium in the city to claim 15th place on the log and they now look certain to claim their first win of the season by defeating the Tabora-based club.

However, Tabora United stamped a 3-1 victory over Tanzania Prisons at their Ali Hassan Mwinyi venue in their recent league fixture which helped to put them in 7th place on the table.

Tomorrow, the scramble for essential points continues at two arenas as Geita Gold host KMC at Nyankumbu Stadium in Geita whereas Namungo face Mashujaa at Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi.

Mashujaa aim to maintain unbeaten status after cherishing two wins and one draw from three opening games all played at their Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.

This is therefore going to be their first away game of the ongoing season and it is seemingly an attractive fixture against a win-hungry Namungo side.
