KMC stun Azam FC

Azam have surrendered maximum points after going down 2-1 to KMC at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Friday afternoon.

The defeat is second in the unfolding NBC Premier League for the Chamazi based outfits who still remain with 11 points from seven games.

It is a successive upset for the Chamazi based giants who were recently bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup by Al Khadar courtesy of a 3-2 aggregate loss.

KMC seized the lead in the 15th minute through Nzigamasabo Styve before Idris Mbombo leveller three minutes later.

Early in the second half, the Kinondoni dwellers netted a winning goal by George Makang’a which remain unopposed until the final whistle sounded.

In another premier league encounter at Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera, visitors Singida Big Stars have claimed a 2-1 win against Kagera Sugar.

The hosting team scored in the 15th minute via Hamis Kizza which was responded by a second half brace from Bruno Gomes to keep his side safe and bag essential three points.
