KMC host Coastal as  16th round rages on today

THE 16th round of the Premier League begins a bang as KMC host Coastal Union in a solo fixture at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam today.

Just one point separate the two, KMC are placed on 10th slot with 16 points while Coastal Union occupy the 12th place with 15 points, hence each side is looking forward to generate a win.

From 15 matches, KMC have stamped three wins, seven draws and five defeats, scoring 13 goals while conceding 15 goals in the process.

For the Tanga-based giants Coastal Union, from the same number of outings, they have managed four wins, three draws and eight defeats, scoring 14 goals and conceding 19 goals.

In their past two matches, KMC have stamped two successive draws against Tanzania Prisons (0-0) and Mbeya City (1-1) as such, they are anxious to generate maximum points in today’s duel.

Likewise, Coastal Union in their two previous encounters, they suffered a 3-0 loss from Simba before recording a 2-1 victory over Singida Big Stars.

The action continues tomorrow with three fixtures when Ruvu Shooting host Ihefu while Mtibwa Sugar play Namungo at Manungu Complex in Morogoro.

Also, Kagera Sugar will be at their Kaitaba Stadium to welcome the second-placed Azam in one of the entertaining matches to wind up Friday’s league assignments.

Ahead of the match, Azam have fired warning shots saying they want to uphold their explosive performance in the league by pocketing all three points from the away territory.

A win will stretch Azam’s unbeaten run to nine matches thereby cementing their second place slot on the log.
