KAGERA Sugar shot-stopper, Said Kipao has claimed to see a bright future in his team and promised to use every weapon in store to heighten the team’s status.
The Kagera-based Premier League side, Kagera Sugar are among the best sides that have been doing well in the top-flight league.
They are placed in the sixth position with 24 points. They have won six, drawn six, and lost six matches. They have netted 20 and conceded 20 goals. Kipao said he will cooperate with his fellow players to ensure they achieve their desired goals.
Speaking during the team’s training camp at Kaitaba stadium, Kipao said their team is not in a bad position, but still they must work hard to help it finish in a good position.
Kipao, the former JKT Ruvu custodian, said he is confident their team will fight to get results as there are a good number of experienced and talented players.
He said their team is currently preparing for their top-flight league matches against Dodoma Jiji FC on Friday at Jamhuri stadium in Dodoma.
After Dodoma Jiji, Kagera Sugar are expected to play Singida Big Stars on 31st January at Liti stadium in Singida. On February 6th they will play against Coastal Union at Kaitaba stadium.
On his side Kagera Sugar’s Assistant Coach Ulimboka, Mwakingwe said the next match against Dodoma Jiji will be difficult but they will fight to win.
“We have been having very difficult matches against Azam and Simba and Geita Gold. We are grateful for what we get but most of all we will continue to encourage our players in the training to minimize mistakes that we have committed in some matches,’’ he said.
He called upon the team’s fans in Kagera to continue supporting their team in all their remaining home and away matches.
