Kili Marathon urges participants to register on time to avoid inconveniences
KILIMANJARO: Organizers of the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager International Marathon 2026 have urged participants to register on time for their respective races to avoid last minute rush and other inconveniences.
A statement issued by the organizers said registration has been going on since October 20, 2025 through www.kilimanjaromarathon.com of through Mixx by Yas by dialing *150*01#and following instructions.
“This is applicable for all race categories including the Kilimanjaro Premium Lager 42 KM (Full Marathon), 21 km YasKili Half Marathon) and the CRDB 5Km Fun Run,” said the organizers.
In accordance to the Official World Athletics regulations of hosting an event with a safe carrying capacity, strict regulations need to be adhered to and this means, race entries will close either on 26th of February 2026 or earlier, if they reach capacity and sell out in advance of this date.
This, the organizers explained, will ensure runners enjoy their time out on route without being overcrowded and that all logistics in terms of the hydration and medical support needed on route and at the finish in line with the numbers expected are all taken care of.

On the Marathon date, the organizers appealed to participants to take note on the change from the traditional last Sunday of February or first Sunday of March to 22nd March 2026 so they can plan their travels accordingly.
“There are those who need to book accommodation and do other preparations hence we are calling on participants to take note of the new date for next year’s edition,” read the statement in part.
Kilimanjaro Premium Lager is the main sponsor of the marathon and has held that position since the inception of the marathon 24 years ago.
