DODOMA: THE construction of the Dodoma Outer Ring Road, the Kigongo-Busisi Bridge and its connecting roads, and the two phases of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System headline the Ministry of Works’ report on the implementation of the Budget and Plan for the 2024/25 financial year.
The Ministry presented a report to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Infrastructure in An occasion that took place today in Dodoma.
Presenting the report, the Minister of Works, Abdallah Ulega, stated that through its agencies, the Ministry has successfully implemented various development projects, and these include the construction of the Dodoma Outer Ring Road, the Kigongo-Busisi Bridge and its connecting roads, as well as the infrastructure for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System (Phases Three and Four).
Additionally, the Ministry is continuing with the implementation of other infrastructure projects such as the construction of the Mkange – Tungamaa – Pangani road, which spans 170.8 kilometers, and the Pangani Bridge, which extends 525 meters. Several other bridges in various regions across the country are also at different stages of construction.

Beyond road projects, the Ministry is undertaking other key projects, including the construction of airports, housing for public servants, government buildings, six new ferries along with their docking stations, and the renovation of ferries such as MV Kilombero II, MV Nyerere, MV Ukara I, MV Kigamboni, and Magogoni.
Minister Ulega emphasized that the Ministry is committed to executing these crucial projects as part of the Government’s Sixth Phase development agenda, led by President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. Furthermore, the implementation aligns with the 2020 Election Manifesto of the ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).
