Kigoma claims 11.5 tril/- under Samia reign
KIGOMA: KIGOMA region is leading in receiving funds for the implementation of development projects during the four-year tenure of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister in the Office of the President, Regional and Local Government Affairs, Zainab Katimba, during a meeting of the Regional Advisory Committee held in Kigoma.
She said these funds are aimed at implementing a plan to make the region a hub of economic and business activities.

Katimba noted that since President Samia assumed office, she has focused on Kigoma, particularly after the region lagged behind in terms of projects and development. She emphasized that the leaders and people of Kigoma must support President Samia’s efforts.
The Kigoma Regional Commissioner, Thobias Andengenye, acknowledged that the region has received a total of 11.5 trillion Tanzanian shillings over the four years of President Samia’s administration, and major strategic projects are already being implemented. He also confirmed that all planned projects are ongoing.
