Kiduku sees bright future in boxing career
AFTER bravely defending the UBO title, Tanzanian boxer Twaha Kiduku has pledged boxing community to expect much from him saying a number of interesting bouts have been arranged for him.
Kiduku outpointed his Georgian counterpart Lago Kiziria in a tight boxing bout at Tanzanite Hall in Morogoro over the weekend, a success he pledged to achieve beforehand.
It was the first time for the Georgian pugilist to fight in Africa and his debut bout which, however, ended in a loss.
Speaking after the bout, Kiduku hailed massive support he received from Tanzanians for their unwavering backup throughout during the preparation and while on the ring.
“I promised to retain this title, I am happy to have successfully achieved my pledge, there are many good fights coming up to quench their desire as such, I demand their maximum support,” Kiduku said while holding the UBO belt.
He also hailed his management for organising competitive bouts for him insisting that the Georgian is a difficult boxer to beat as he is well experienced having been in the game for a long time.
Moreover, Kiduku disclosed that if it goes well, in July this year, another high profile boxing event is going to be staged in Morogoro hence people should be ready for that entertainment.
