Kibaha DC records major education feats in last four years

KIBAHA: THE education sector in Kibaha District, Coast Region has seen significant improvements over the past four years, thanks to collaborative efforts between the government and stakeholders.
The achievement includes the construction of ten new government secondary schools and hiring of sufficient number of teachers in both primary and secondary institutions.
The remarks were made by Kibaha District Commissioner, Mr Nickson Simon, during an event held recently at Dosa Aziz Secondary School, where NMB’s Dar es Salaam Zone, donated furniture worth 24.9m/- to three secondary schools — Dosa Aziz, Mihande and Ruvu Station.
“Our government is doing a lot in this district and across the country to improve the education sector. Over the last four years, we’ve witnessed remarkable changes in our district. These successes are the result of sound government policies that also welcome support from development stakeholders,” said Mr Simon.
He noted that between 1,500 and 2,000 students join secondary schools in Kibaha annually and the government is committed to ensuring that they learn in a safe and friendly environment.
Mr Simon expressed gratitude to NMB for its continued support in the education sector, describing such contributions as essential to national development.
On behalf of the bank, NMB’s Dar es Salaam Zone Manager, Mr Seka Urio praised the government for its ongoing efforts to improve education, pledging the bank’s continued collaboration in supporting both education and health sectors.

“We truly appreciate the support we receive from the government. NMB is committed to working closely with authorities to bring about positive changes in people’s lives,” he said.
Head Teacher of Dosa Aziz Secondary School, Ms Gloria Simfukwe also expressed appreciation to both the government and NMB, stating that the support has led to improved performance and passing rates at the school.
