Ki opens goal scoring account as Yanga outsmart Mtibwa

Young Africans have produced a comfortable 3-0 win over Mtibwa Sugar in a thrilling NBC Premier League match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Two first half goals by Djuma Shabani and Fiston Mayele awarded the hosting side a two nil lead throughout the opening forty-five minutes.

In the second half, substitute Stephanie Aziz Ki sealed the deal in the 91st minute when his smartly taken strike eased past Mtibwa Sugar short-stopper Farouk Shikalo who was well beaten at his guarding territory.

This is the third victory in four league matches for the defending champions who have now maximised 10 points as they intensify their race to defend the title for two times in a row.

For Mtibwa Sugar, it was another bad day in office as they failed to get answers from questions they were asked during the normal period of play.

They managed to create numerous scoring opportunities but most of them could not be utilised well hence succumbing to the heavy defeat.

Tomorrow, Tanzania Prisons host Simba at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya in a solo premier league match and both teams recorded draw in their previous assignments.
