THE Mbeya-based championship side, Kengold FC has signed a one-year contract with Amri Saidi, the former Coach of the Isles Premier League side, KVZ as the team’s Head coach.
Saidi, the former Mbao and Lipuli coach, will work hard in hand with the newly recruited Assistant Coach, Michael Mnyali ‘Chuji’ to steer the team in the coming season’s Championship League.
Kengold FC secretary general Benson Mkocha has confirmed that their team has hired the two coaches both serving on a one-year term.
Mkocha has confirmed that Amri Said ‘Stam’ will be the Head Coach of the team.
He said they are preparing for the Championship league after finishing fifth last season under Coach Ngawina Ngawina.
“After terminating contracts of the technical bench staff, we are now working hard to recruit new players to our team and starting tomorrow, we will try to ensure every player we recruit has qualities we need,” he said.
Amri Said has signed a one year contract and from today(Monday) we will start announcing players because the negotiations are at the end, we need to go to the top flight league,” he said.
He said they have great confidence with the former Simba player due to the fact that he has once coached several teams including Simba, Lipuli, Mbao, Biashara United and Mbeya City.
Ken gold FC finished fifth overall in the Championship league for 2022/2023 season after posting 47 points.
The team won 14, drew five and lost nine matches.
The team has scored 38 and conceded 28 goals.
