THE Mbarali-based Premier League side, Ihefu said no team will stop them from winning this the Azam Sports Federation Cup and warned their next opponents, Simba to expect heavy loss when they meet them in Dar es Salaam on April 7th this year.
Simba host Ihefu at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam in the quarter-final encounter of the Azam Sports Federation Cup (ASFC).
The team’s Coach, Zuberi Katwila here yesterday that they are upbeat to win the game against Simba no matter how tough the game might be.
“We are determined to reach the semifinals and to achieve that we have to eliminate our next opponent, Simba,” he warned.
Katwila said morale among his charges is high as they are well-drilled for the Dar es Salaam mission.
“We have a formidable squad capable of defeating any team at the moment and everyone knows it. We are serious about this and we won’t let down our fans in Mbeya,” he insisted.
Ihefu, one of this season’s surprise packages, qualified for ASFC quarterfinals for the first time this season, and winning their game against Simba will add a dimension to their brilliance.
After meeting Simba in Dar es Salam, Ihefu will host Simba in the Premier League match at Highland Estate Complex, Mbarali on April 10th this year.
Ihefu stunned their opponents in the second round of the league by making a fast climb from the bottom place to the current 6th position with 33 points.
In their recent five games, Ihefu have generated 13 points after winning four games and drawing once.
They beat Tanzania Prisons 2-1, Mbeya City 2-0, Dodoma Jiji 2-1, and Azam FC 1-0 before drawing 1-1 with Singida Big Stars.
