Katambi  pledges to serve Tanzania honestly, diligently

DODOMA: THE Minister for Home Affairs, Patrobas Katambi, has pledged to work with honesty and integrity in serving Tanzanians, thereby supporting the Judiciary and Parliament in upholding justice in the delivery of various rulings processed through the Police Force, Prisons, Fire and Rescue, and Immigration Commission.

The Minister pledged Dodoma on Thursday shortly after being sworn in as Chairperson of the Police Force, Prisons, Fire and Rescue, and Immigration Commission.

“We will work in close cooperation throughout our term with all parties in both Mainland Tanzania and the Isles. We will work closely with the Judiciary in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, and we will carry out our duties with care and diligence, integrity and honesty, in accordance with the law, in performing and implementing all the responsibilities of this Commission, which today we have sworn to uphold before them,” he said.

He added, “ We will make decisions on time, while recognizing that any decisions we make will still be subject to review by the High Court or the Court of Appeal of Tanzania.

At all times, we will adhere to the principles of respect for the law and hearing both sides.”
