Kariakoo set to be open to public this Oct. – Msigwa
CONSTRUCTION work on the new Kariakoo Markets is near completion and authorities announced Saturday the new structure will be open to the public this October.
Government Chief Spokesperson Gerson Msigwa told a press conference that construction work is above 75 percent of compilation.
“We have renovated the old building that was burnt down. We have also built another building with six floors … President Samia approved 28 bn/- and the hope is that in October people will start using the structures,” he said.
“When this market starts our hope is that it will be open 24 hours.”
