KAGERA sugar Head Coach, Francis Baraza said his team is well prepared and determined to snatch maximum points in their Premier League matches.
Speaking to the ‘Daily News’ in an exclusive interview after his team’s 1-1 draw with Geita Gold at CCM Kirumba stadium on Tuesday, Baraza said Kagera Sugar will regain winning formula soon.
Kagera Sugar’s goal was scored by Abeid Athuman in the 44th minute while Geita Gold’s equaliser was netted by Seleman Ibrahim in the 74th minute.
Baraza congratulated his players for getting one point. He said the game was very good and each team played with dedication.
Kagera Sugar’s next match will be against Dodoma Jiji on September 18th this year before playing against Singida Big Stars on September 28th this year at CCM Kirumba Stadium.
He called upon Kagera sugar fans to continue supporting their team.
On his side Geita Gold’s Assistant Coach Mathias Wandiba has congratulated his players after the draw with Kagera Sugar.
Wandiba said the game was very difficult and all teams played clean and competitive football.
“Our opponents lost two Premier League matches so they came to fight to ensure they win, but my boys fought and we got a draw,” he said.
Wandiba said the game was full of techniques, each team was attacking in turn.
Geita Gold are now lined up for the CAF Confederation Cup match against Al Hilal at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd stadium this Sunday.
They will return to Tanzania to play against Singida Big Stars on September 14th at CCM Kirumba stadium.
