Kafulila to lead public lecture on PPP’s role in delivering Tanzania’s Vision 2050
DAR ES SALAAM: Citizens, students, professionals, investors and other development stakeholders are expected to gather in Mbeya on July 3, 2026, for a special public lecture that will examine the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in advancing the implementation of Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2050.
The lecture, organized by the Public-Private Partnership Centre (PPP Centre) in collaboration with Mzumbe University, Mbeya Campus, will be led by the Executive Director of the PPP Centre, David Kafulila.
The event comes three days after Tanzania officially launched the implementation of Vision 2050 on July 1, 2026, and is intended to stimulate a national dialogue on how partnerships between the government and the private sector can accelerate the country’s development agenda.
Participants will discuss how PPPs can help mobilize resources to finance major development projects, improve infrastructure, attract investment and enhance the efficiency of delivering essential public services.
The lecture is also expected to strengthen understanding of the private sector’s contribution to implementing Vision 2050, boost investor confidence, and enhance institutional capacity for collaboration in achieving Tanzania’s long-term development goals.
