DAR ES SALAAM: JKT Tanzania and Tabora United will square off in the second leg of the NBC Premier League playoffs at General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam today.
JKT Tanzania come into the match with a significant lead, thanks to an incredible first-leg performance that gave them a dominating 4-0 lead over their opponents Tabora United at Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora on Tuesday.
After scoring the goals in the first leg, Tabora United squad has a difficult battle today and will need to overcome an uphill challenge to flip the scoreboard around. The team that wins in aggregate will be the one to stay in the top flight league.

The team that will fall will still have an opportunity to fight for the survival in the NBC Premier League, but first they must defeat Biashara United of the Championship, who defeated Mbeya Kwanza 4-0 in aggregate in their playoff matches last month.
The 2023–24 season saw JKT Tanzania end at 13th place with 32 points from 30 games, while Tabora United, their opponents, finished at 14th place with 27 points from 30 games.
It was regrettable for Mtibwa Sugar and Geita Gold to be relegated to the NBC Championship for the next season, while Tabora United and JKT Tanzania finished in the playoff zone.
While grief engulfed the two demoted clubs, Ken Gold and Pamba Jiji – two Championship teams, were granted straight entry into the top flight league.
