The Minister of State in the Vice–President’s Office (Union and Environment), Seleman Jafo has tabled a 54.1bn/- budget proposal for the 2023/24 fiscal year for approval by the lawmakers.
Presenting the budget estimates for his office before the Parliamentarians in Dodoma on Monday, the Minister said out of the requested amount, 14.7bn/- is for recurrent.
Moreover, the Dr Jafo requested another 39.3bn/- out of the amount 20.7bn/- is for recurrent and the other 18.6bn/- is for the implementation of development projects.
Additionally, he said the 2023/2024 for his office has decreased by 5.4 per cent compared to the previous budget as well as the development budget by 13 per cent.
