The final round of this year’s National Rally Championship(NRC), Atlantic Rally of Morogoro will be flagged off today and climax on Sunday after covering dusty routes around Morogoro municipality.

In the previous round of Arusha, Pandya finished fourth overall in his usual Subaru Impreza.

He says if he leads in Morogoro the crown will be his, this time.

The Atlantic Rally of Morogoro which is the sixth round of NRC, is also clocking the final round of the 2022 Rally season.

A total of 11 cars, ten from Tanzania and one from Uganda, are competing in the Atlantic Rally of Morogoro, with 22 participants taking part at the Tungi Estate.

The Ugandan Driver Yassin Naser, who won in the Arusha Guru Nanak Rally, is also back for another round in the Atlantic Rally of Morogoro.

Naser also drives a Subaru Impreza together with his navigator Ali Katumba, racing as the Moil Rally Team from Kampala.

Manveer Birdi who was second in the Arusha Rally returns to Morogoro together with his Kenyan navigator, Ravi Chana in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

As it happens, Subaru cars seem to be dominating in the Morogoro Rally fleet.

There are ten Subaru Imprezzas among them the Impreza VAB, GC8 and Subaru Impreza MY06.

Apparently, there is only one Mitsubishi vehicle in the Morogoro event and this is the Evolution driven by the Birdi team.
