POLISI Tanzania have picked physical trainer John Tamba as caretaker coach following the sacking of the Head Coach Joslin Sharif citing poor results in the ongoing season.

A statement issued by the club on Wednesday afternoon also revealed that Assistant Coach Agustino Damian and goalkeeping coach Emmanuel Mwansile will be given other responsibilities.

“The management of the club is taking into consideration various mechanisms to ensure that the team record good results,” reads part of the statement signed by the club’s Head of Information and Communication Frank Lukwaro.

The outgoing Burundian coach signed a one-year deal with the Moshi based giants aiming to drive them to prosperity but things have turned out the opposite.

He once coached Burundi national team and he also trained different clubs in Burundi, Rwanda and DRC respectively.

According to the Premier League table, from nine matches they have played, Polisi Tanzania have just managed one win, two draws while conceded six losses.

As such; they have just collected 5 points from nine encounters, scoring six goals while conceding 14 goals more than any other team on the log.

Their recent Premier League match on Tuesday,they lost 2-0 to Tanzania Prisons at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya adding salt to them fresh wound.
