Isles Cup: Black Sailor eye New City conquest
THE management of Isles Premier League side, Black Sailor their Isles Federation Cup match against New City will give them a perfect drill for the five league’s matches.
The team’s Secretary General, Issa Khatib Masiku revealed that to reporters here after the organizers; Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) released the FA Cup draw this weekend.
The official said the management of Black Sailor is relieved to be placed against New City saying the game will give them a good drill before the Premier League resumes after the end of Ramadhan.
“We are delighted to face New City since it’s players are energetic, hence they will give us good challenge,” said the official.
He further said the FA Cup game against New City will be highly challenging, but entertaining to the fans who will watch it live.
Owing its status as the newly promoted team, New City as the official claimed, will bank on physique game since most of its players are youthful.
Black Sailor will host New City at Mao Zedong Stadium in Unguja on May 4th this year.
The going is still tough for Black Sailor in the Premier League standings as they occupy the 13th position in the 16-team league.
They have so far played 25 matches, won 6 and drew 6 matches as they have lost 13 matches.
They are above only three teams; Polisi Zanzibar who are placed 14th, , Dulla Boys at 15th and the bottom-placed T aifa Jang’ombe.
