Hanang’ District gears up for uhuru Torch with project inspections

MANYARA: THE Hanang’ District Security and Safety Committee in Manyara Region has conducted a tour to inspect development projects slated for review during the 2025 Uhuru Torch celebrations.

The inspection tour was led by the Committee Chairperson and Hanang’ District Commissioner, Almishi Hazali.

During the visit, the Committee assessed various projects aimed at enhancing social welfare across sectors including health, education, water and infrastructure.

According to the Committee, these projects reflect the district authorities’ ongoing efforts to foster development and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

Following the tour, DC Hazali expressed satisfaction with the progress observed and urged project managers to maintain proper documentation.

This includes keeping thorough records such as contracts, receipts, photographs and progress reports for each phase of implementation.

He emphasised that detailed record-keeping is crucial not only for the Uhuru Torch inspection but also for overall accountability to citizens and government oversight bodies.

“All projects, whether or not they are selected for the Uhuru Torch review, must be managed with integrity and patriotism. We must ensure transparency and accountability in the use of public funds at every stage,” Hazali stated.

The Committee’s visit forms part of the district’s broader preparations for hosting the prestigious Uhuru Torch race in 2025.
