Guardians of the Peak’s Season 1 screening sets stage for its Second 2

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Season One of the “Guardians of the Peak” documentary was screened on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the China Cultural Centre in Upanga, Dar es Salaam.
The screening formed part of preparations for the official launch of the documentary’s second season, which is expected to take place soon in Dar es Salaam, Arusha and China.
The project is spearheaded by the Tanzania Film Board as its principal partner and patron, in collaboration with Ram Films Company.
The event brought together stakeholders from the film, tourism, culture and environmental conservation sectors to view the documentary, which promotes the conservation of Mount Kilimanjaro, strengthens cooperation between Tanzania and China, and showcases Tanzania through international film platforms.
The guest of honour was the President of the Tanzania Film Federation (TAFF), Mr Rajabu Amir, who commended Ram Films Company and the entire Guardians of the Peak production team for producing a documentary that contributes significantly to the growth of Tanzania’s film industry.
Mr Amir called upon stakeholders to continue supporting the initiative to ensure the documentary reaches a wider audience and generates greater benefits for the film industry, tourism and environmental conservation.
He also encouraged local filmmakers to invest more in documentary production, noting that documentaries play a vital role in communicating important messages, inspiring positive social change and stimulating constructive public dialogue that contributes to national development.
Furthermore, he reaffirmed that the Tanzania Film Federation would continue working closely with filmmakers and the Tanzania Film Board to promote the sustainable growth of the country’s film industry and enhance its contribution to the national economy and the livelihoods of Tanzanians.
