GPE donates 12 vehicles to enhance curiculum in schools

DAR ES SALAAM: ADOLF Mkenda, the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, has directed school quality assurance officers to optimally use the 12 vehicles worth 1.7 billion/—provided by the government through the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) project.

He emphasized the importance of these vehicles in enhancing the education sector’s effectiveness.

Minister Mkenda made the directive today in Dar es Salaam during the official handover ceremony of the vehicles to the officers.

He stated: “The purpose of providing these vehicles is to improve the educational environment across the country and ensure better monitoring of schools.”

In her address, Kemi Williams, the Development Director at the British High Commission in Tanzania, expressed continued support for the Tanzanian government.

She reaffirmed that they would maintain their collaborative efforts to make significant strides in the country’s education sector, further strengthening the partnership between Tanzania and international development organizations.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that educational standards are met and that resources reach all schools effectively, ultimately contributing to better learning outcomes for Tanzanian students.
