Govt tackles justice system gaps in reform talks

DODOMA: TANZANIA has stepped up efforts to improve its criminal justice system following a high-level meeting of ministers and justice sector leaders chaired by Constitutional and Legal Affairs Minister Dr Juma Homera.
The meeting held in Dodoma brought together key institutions to assess progress on earlier reforms and address delays and operational challenges affecting justice delivery.

Officials reviewed the implementation of past resolutions and discussed new measures aimed at improving coordination, efficiency, and performance across the justice system.
Dr Homera said stronger cooperation between institutions is essential to ensure justice is delivered fairly, transparently, and without delay. He reaffirmed government commitment to continued reforms to strengthen the system nationwide.
