DODOMA: THE government has completed an initial process for digitising students’ selection forms into a central database, paving the way for candidates to modify their subject combinations and college selections online.

Minister of State, in the President’s Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), Mohamed Mchengerwa said yesterday that the completion of the phase allows students to make changes to their selections conveniently through the online platform.

Mr Mchengerwa told journalists that the updated database would be used to allocate students to the advanced level of secondary education, technical and vocational training institutions based on their academic performance and preferences.

“The President’s Office is offering an opportunity for 2024 Form Four graduates to adjust their choices, ensuring that each student pursues a combination or course that aligns with their career aspirations and expertise,” he said.

He stressed the importance of all candidates reviewing and updating their selections in the Students’ Selection Management Information System (Student Selection MIS) according to their examination results.

The modification exercise will run from March 31, 2025, to April 30, 2025, providing ample time for students to fine-tune their selections.

Mr Mchengerwa encouraged parents and guardians to take an active role in guiding their children through the selection process to ensure well-informed decisions.
