GGML affirms commitment to sustainable land use in Geita Region

ARUSHA: GEITA Gold Mining Limited (GGML) has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable land use and environmental stewardship in the gold-rich Geita Rregion.

That was revealed today, June 25, 2025 in Arusha during the Land Use Planning Multi-Stakeholder Forum, a two-day event expected to reach climax tomorrow, June 26, 2025 at the same venue.

Organized by the National Land Use Planning Commission (NLUPC), the high-level forum convened government officials, land experts, environmentalists, and private sector leaders to advance a coordinated national approach to sustainable land management.

Held under the theme “Land Use Planning as a Key Tool for Environmental Stewardship and Sustainable Development,” the forum underscored the strategic importance of integrated planning in balancing environmental protection, economic development, and community well-being.

Representing GGML, Senior Legal Counsel David Nzaligo emphasized the company’s role in contributing to discussions on how effective land use planning can support sustainable mining, resilient communities, and the conservation of natural resources.

 “The forum echoed GGML’s deep commitment to responsible land management, environmental conservation, and uplifting communities,” he stated.
