Geita Gold 1-1 KMC

GEITA Gold and KMC shared spoils after recording a 1-1 draw in a solo NBC Premier League at Nyamkumbu Stadium in Geita on Friday afternoon.

Saido Ntibazonkiza opened the scoreboard for Geita Gold in the 36th minute courtesy of a smartly taken set-piece which exposed KMC shot-stopper David Kisu.

However, the visitors re-organized to balance the deficit in the 41st minute via Waziri Junior and henceforth, attempts by either side to increase the tally could not materialise.

“I think we both deserve this outcome because the match was tense and the pitch was wet hence not that friendly,” says Ntibazonkiza after the game.

On his part, KMC scorer Junior highlighted that it is his 41st premier league goal of his career from 72 matches.

“We tried our best to win the game and seize all three points but in the end, we have shared spoils,” says him.
