Kenyan runners Stephen Kiprop (2:07:16) and Sezgin Atac from Turkey (2:07:26) rounded out the top eight, all finishing in under 2 hours 8 minutes.

In the women’s race, Ethiopia’s Meseret Belete dominated with a time of 2:24:08, finishing well ahead of Bahrain’s Ruth Jebet (2:25:43) and Ethiopia’s Tigist Girma (2:26:45), who took third.
