Four key players miss as Simba face Azam tomorrow

Simba have ruled out Sadio Kanoute, Mzamiru Yassin, Israel Mwenda and Jimmyson Mwanuke in their ‘Mzizima Derby’ match versus Azam tomorrow.

The two teams are going to settle their differences at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, battling for maximum points.

At a pre-match briefing on Wednesday afternoon in the city, the team’s caretaker coach Juma Mgunda reveals that the four players will not be part of the action.

“For Mzamiru, he accumulated three straight yellow cards which automatically suspended him for tomorrow’s match while the other trio are nursing injuries,” he says.

He also discloses that his side is well prepared for the match and are looking forward to stamp success though they have much respect for their opponent.

On his part, Azam interim coach Kali Ongala says they too have great players who can do a tangible job against Simba.

“The only difference with them (Simba) is that we do not get the same publicity like they do… but we have quality players as well,” he says.
