DAR ES SALAAM: DAR ES SALAAM will host an Easter Music Festival on April 20 in Dar es Salaam, with participants from Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. The festival aims to promote peace, unity, and harmony, not only within Tanzania, but also among the neighboring East African nations.
The festival’s purpose is to unite the people of Tanzania and the East African region through gospel songs and prayers, as well as, provide assistance to pregnant women and pray for President Samia in light of the upcoming elections.
The event will feature a gospel music performance by renowned artist Christina Shusho, who is also a member of Mama Ongea na Mwanao, alongside other gospel artists from both Tanzania and beyond.

These remarks were made today by Steven Mengere, the Chairman of the Mama Ongea na Mwanao Initiative, during a press briefing in Dar es Salaam.
“This gospel music festival is expected to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among the East African nations, further promoting regional stability and collective prosperity,” he said.
In addition, Mengere announced that his organization will provide support to pregnant women in all district hospitals across the Dar es Salaam region.
“Currently, it is the mothers who are carrying the nation. This opportunity to assist them is part of our work as an organization dedicated to addressing and impacting the lives of Tanzanians practically,” he added.
Christina Shusho, speaking about the event, said this year’s theme is “Through Prayer, You Will Win,” a special message for Tanzanians during this election period. Gospel artists will also express their solidarity and extend their best wishes to the President.
“This festival will be unique. It marks my third year since its inception. The main goal is to bring Tanzanians and East Africans together in peace and unity,” Shusho said, also sharing her intention to pray for leaders, especially President Samia.
