Fountain Gate ignite title hopes after win

FOUNTAIN Gate Princess Head Coach, Masoud Juma said that his team’s sole aim is to fight and win their four remaining women’s Premier League games so as to win the championship this season.
Juma made the remarks after their 2-1 win over Alliance Girls of Mwanza at Nyamagana Stadium.
”The league is still open even for us, our chance to take the championship is there. The league leaders JKT Queens are in front of us with two points, Simba Queens are in front of us with a point,’’ Masoud said.
Masoud thanked his players for the 2-1 victory against Alliance Queens in the women’s Premier League match.
He said the game was very difficult because their opponents have a good team.
He said his players committed one mistake and their opponents utilised it to punish them.
He promised to rectify the mistakes that led them to concede one goal.
Adding, he said they are currently preparing for their remaining four games.
Fountain Gate Princess have remained with matches against Ceasia Queens at Mkwawa University ground in Iringa on May 3rd and a week later on May 10th they will lock horns with JKT Tanzania at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
Their last league game will be staged on 17th May this year against Tigers Queens at Jamhuri Stadium.
In the Women’s Premier League standings, Fountain Gate Princess are placed third with 32 points after playing 14 games.
The team has won ten matches, drawn two, and lost two matches.
They have scored 31 goals and conceded eight goals.
