FIFA applauds TFF for wise investment

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) for investing the funds they receive from the world’s football governing body wisely.

Through his Instagram page, the FIFA boss recently wrote: “Every country in the world that is part of FIFA receives funds to be invested in football development.

“But there are some countries which are very special and which are investing the funds they receive in a very wise and forward-thinking way and Tanzania is one of them.”

He continued: “It was great to be in Tanzania and inaugurate the FIFA forward projects in Kigamboni and Tanga. Many congratulations to TFF president Wallace Karia and CAF president Patrice Motsepe and the whole football community in this beautiful country.

“Our beautiful sport gives so much hope to young girls and boys to believe in their opportunities, their chances in what they can do in their future for themselves, their families and their country.”

He also congratulated Simba and Al Ahly for giving a fantastic African Football League (AFL) opening game as well as referees for quality officiating.

“Many thanks to the fans for showing such passion, emotion and love…this was a perfect showcase of African football and how the AFL will change the landscape here, setting a standard for sustained development, accessibility and inclusivity,” he said.

“Best wishes to all participating teams, thank you for showcasing this wonderful continent’s great talent and engaging the fans in a celebration of our beautiful game… Football Unites the World,” Infantino added.
