Farid Mussa strike completes Yanga’s Lubumbashi mission

A 63rd minute strike by substitute Farid Mussa has capsized a 10-man TP Mazembe 1-0.

The game at Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi, DR Congo on Sunday afternoon was the last group stage match of the Confederation Cup to both sides.

With the results, Yanga have finished the group stage mission on front gear with 13 points from six matches.

They now await their opponent in the quarterfinals to be identified during a CAF draw set next week.

Also, history has been made as the Jangwani based outifits have become the first Tanzanian team to win against TP Mazembe at the latter’s turf.

Yanga missed the services of Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi as well as midfielder Khalid Aucho including playmaker Aziz Ki and first choice goalkeeper Djigui Diarra.

However, it has been a poor run for the DR Congo giants who from six matches, they have managed only one win.
