Ezra faces Zambian boxer in All All-Africa Games semi-final today
ACCRA, GHANA: Tanzanian boxer Ezra Mwanjwango will be fighting against Andrew Chilata from Zambia today in the semifinals of the lightweight All Afrika Games in Accra, Ghana.
The match is scheduled to be played at midnight.
“I am ready for tonight’s fight. I am watching the final. Tanzanians, I just ask for your prayers,” said Ezra.
Mwanjwango qualified for the semifinals after defeating Mujinga Frazier from DR Congo in a quarterfinal fight.
He dominated all three rounds and won the favour of all five judges. Since the competitions began on March 8th, Tanzania has seen three of its eight boxers in the games make it to the semifinals.
The other two boxers are Yusuf Changalawe (Light Heavyweight) and Musa Maregesi (Cruiserweight).
