MORE than 120 extension officers have received training on how to serve best farmers in grain production using modern technology.
The Singida Administrative Secretary Dr Fatuma Mganga, said through a press release recently that the training centred on building their capacity, especially in using soil testing equipment.
“I really like to see you become a mirror of the farming community where the farmer will have the opportunity to learn through you,” said Dr Mganga.
The Assistant Director of Extension Services in the Ministry of Agriculture, Ms Upendo Mndeme, asked them to use the training platform provided to them as an opportunity to build capacity in extension work so that the farmer can benefit from the agricultural services for the wider benefit of the nation.
The 120 extension officers were from Tabora, Dodoma, Singida, Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Manyara.
