“As experts, you must speak in a way that enables citizens to see the direct benefits of these investments. While we acknowledge the improved working environment, we must also highlight the enhanced service delivery that directly benefits the public,” she stressed.
Dodoma District Commissioner Mr Jabir Shekimweri echoed similar sentiments, emphasising the need for contractors extracting construction materials to ensure that, upon completion of the projects, the sites are left in a condition which does not pose environmental hazards.
The tour began at Msalato International Airport, which is jointly funded by the government of Tanzania and the African Development Bank (ADB) to the tune of 194.4bn/-.
The project has reached 53 per cent completion and is expected to be finalised by November 2025. At the Outer Ring Road project, which spans 112.3 kilometres and aims to ease traffic congestion in the city, the RC noted that construction is now 84.02 per cent complete.
The 100.84bn/- project, overseen by TANROADS, is set for completion by July 30, this year.
