EX-FIFA referee dies in Dar
DAR ES SALAAM: Former FIFA referee and chairman for the Football Referees Association of Tanzania (FRAT) Omary Abdulkadir (65) is no more.
He passed away on Wednesday after a prolonged illness related to kidney problems.
Wallace Karia, President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), expressed his condolences in a statement. Karia conveyed his deep sadness over Abdulkadir’s passing and extended his sympathies to the family, friends, FRAT, and the broader football community affected by the loss.

“His contributions to the development of football, particularly in the field of refereeing, will be remembered forever,” the statement read.
Abdulkadir, who was a referee under the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), had retired from his role prior to his passing.
