Euromoney decorates CRDB Bank as the best private banking services

DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA continues to record significant progress in improving financial services, driven by strong regulatory oversight implemented through collaboration between the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) and the Ministry of Finance Tanzania.

In a move that highlights the sector’s growth, CRDB Bank has earned international recognition after winning the Best Private Banking Services award from Euromoney.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam while receiving the award, the bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Majid Nsekela, said the achievement positions Tanzania as an increasingly trusted destination on the global stage.

He noted that the win boosts confidence among both local and international investors while reaffirming the strength of the country’s financial systems.

“This award reflects the resilience of Tanzania’s financial sector and encourages more investors to choose the country as a safe destination for investment and capital preservation,” said Dr Nsekela.

He further explained that the success is largely attributed to supportive government policies implemented through the Bank of Tanzania and the Ministry of Finance, which have strengthened the environment for delivering quality financial services.

Dr Nsekela also highlighted the role of financial technology advancements, noting that they have made banking services more accessible to citizens and businesses by reducing reliance on cash transactions—thereby improving both security and efficiency.

The achievement underscores Tanzania’s growing position as a fast-emerging financial hub in Africa.
