NEMC Environmental Engineer, Juhudi Mwashibanda praised the factory’s efforts in environmental protection and emphasized the need for strict adherence to Environmental Management Laws and Regulations.

“The steps you’ve taken will significantly reduce plastic bottle waste on our streets,” Engineer Mwashibanda remarked.

On his the company’s Safety, Health, and Environment Officer, Aureus George, pledged their commitment to work on the directives, adding that already they have installed modern infrastructure capable of recycling over nine tonnes of plastic bottles per hour.

This inspection follows NEMC’s February directive, which called on producers of obsolete coloured plastic bottles to set up recycling facilities.

The visit is part of the council’s ongoing efforts to ensure compliance with these environmental protection measures.
