Duo called to strengthen Taifa squad ahead of match against Uganda
Veteran full-backs Shomari Kapombe and Mohamed Hussein have been included in the Taifa Stars squad set to face Uganda on Tuesday.
The duo were not called in the team which travelled to play Uganda at Suez Canal Stadium in Egypt on Friday.
Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaam on Sunday afternoon, Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Communications Officer Clifford Ndimbo says the two players have already joined Stars’ camp.
However, a win by Tanzania on Tuesday will see them stepping closer to the qualification mark of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) whose finals will be played in Ivory Coast, next year.
