Dulla Mbabe seeks revenge against DRC’s Katompa

ARUSHA: TANZANIAN pugilist, Abdallah Pazi, alias Dulla Mbabe  will  take on Erick Tshimanga Katompa from the  Democratic  Republic  of Congo  (DRC) in an International boxing bout  to  be  staged in Arusha.

The main card event pitting the two foes will be preceded by seven other boxing bouts and are to be staged in the Simba auditorium at the Mount Meru Hotel on November 25 this year.

Organized by the Lady in Red Promotion, the boxing bout which is essentially a reprise match between Dulla and Katompa is dubbed as ‘Boxing with Tourism,’ and is specifically being staged in Arusha City that is the hub of tourism in East Africa, linking Mount Kilimanjaro, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.

According to the Lady in Red Promotion Communication Officer, Seneta Banza, the two boxers previously fought in Dar-es-salaam in October 2021 in which saw Dulla Mbabe lost to Katompa in overall judges’ points.

Now the two adversaries are going to face each other once again in ten-round bout event schedule to start at around 7.00pm, with a number of curtain raisers featuring seven other pairs of boxers to warm-up the ring.

In Middleweight bout, Ali Baba Tarimo will face Karage Suba, both from Tanzania,and  in another  bout  female  fighters  Chiku Idd and Leyla Macho  will  trade  punches in middle weight  bout.

While in another fight Sarah Alex  will face  and Tatiana Ezekiel  and in the Super-Middle weight, Shaaban Kaoneka face Kassim (Pesa) Somboko as well as Paulo Kam will  fight against Jacob Maganga and  Shaaban Ngunda  against Salehe Mkalekwa.

Towards the main event, Nigerian boxer Rilwan Lawal will face Tanzanian boxer Loren Japhet, these two will make the threshold event towards the main card.
